First place male overall and winner of the 2014 race is Adrien Boone of Black Mountain
First place female Kira-Nicole Treadway
11, of Black Mountain

The Black Mountain Lions Club “Run with the Lion’s” 5K has a new date! As a result of conflicting events and weather being a big issue we will move our run back two weeks to October 24, 2015. As in the past, we will start from the Black Mountain Town Square at 8:30 a.m. and cost is $25.00.
Registration is now open on and you may register on race day from 7:00 am - 8:00 a.m. This is always a good time for a good cause!

14 runners who cancelled their runs last year due to weather, had to travel back to South Carolina and were unable to return for the rescheduled race. All are members of Lions Clubs in and around Columbia, Spartanburg and Myrtle Beach Areas and  we look forward to  seeing them all  back in Black Mountain for 2015 "Run with the Lions"

Thanks to all those who support the Black Mountain Lions Club,  all the wonderful sponsors and volunteers who help make this event possible each year, a special thank you to the Owen High School Leo Club, Mayor Mike Sobel, The Black Mountain Chamber of Commerce, Recreation and Parks Director Casey Conner and the Black Mountain Police who give their time to provide our security.
