From start, proceed up Midland Drive and turn left onto First Street. At the end of First St. turn left onto Montreat Road and proceed to Laurel Circle Drive and turn right here. Police will block traffic here to allow runners to safely cross over. Follow signs along Laurel Circle Drive down to intersection of Rhododendron Avenue. Turn left onto Rhododendron Ave and at the intersection of Craigmont and Rhododendron Ave, turn right onto Craigmont Road, Police will block road here as well. At the intersection of Craigmont and Tomahawk Ave.turn right onto Tomahawk Ave and follow this route to turn around point at traffic cones at S.Oconeechee Ave and follow this route back to start/finish line.We ask for your safety and other runners to please stay on right side of road and sidewalks whenever possible and follow all directional signs!

      The Black Mountain Lions Club presents                                               

The fifth annual charity “Run with the Lions” 5K run/walk to benefit the Black Mountain Lions Club. This years race is scheduled for Saturday October 22, 2016 at Black Mountain Town Square. Come out and join us for a great run and a great morning with lots of music, food and fun! All proceeds go to the Black Mountain Lions Club for their work in our community. A beautiful run which takes runners through beautiful fall scenery and along lake side views. Your registration guarantees your tee shirt and entry in our drawings for great items runners love!     Register online at                                                      You may register at packet pickup or; on race day from 7:30 -8:00 am.

​ Awards immediately following race at Town Square, Awards for top male and female overall as well as top male and female in each age group. 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+
Each participant will receive a tee shirt and a medal. Packet pick up will be at Lake Tomahawk Pavilion on Friday October 21, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
